    • Unknown variant, due to modifications
    • Originally a short lever gun, converted in service to a long-lever
• 303 British

• Lever-operated falling block
  • • Breech block pops open at the slightest touch when cocked, likely due to modifications
    • We do not consider this rifle safe to fire in it's current configuration

  • • Stock cartouche and unit markings still visible
    • Forend has been modified to accommodate the new barrel, and is somewhat loose
    • Mid-band still present
    • Stock shows gouges, scratches, and cracks typical of age
    • Buttplate screws may not be original

  • • Appears to be a repurposed No.1 Mk.III barrel
• Finish has turned brown-black, with mottled corrosion
  • • Pins and screws are marred 
• No.1 Mk.III sights. Adjustable tangent rear with fine front post
• Bore is dim, with some debris present. Rifling is frosted and shows pitting
