Seller states internal components have been replaced and are new. Brass spool is smooth and shiny, action cycles smoothly and spring tension feels solid all around.

Fair to poor condition, but mechanically solid. Metal on receiver has had most of the finish sanded/scrubbed off, presumably to remove corrosion. Pitting is visible throughout surface of receiver and buttplate. Wood has been refinished at some point, leaving the fine lines rounded in most spots, and wood-to-metal fitment rather poor. Numerous chips missing from edges of wood. Buttstock has cracks near receiver typical for the Savage 99, which have been repaired with a screw, glue, and several plugs. Screw heads are marred. Receiver has been drilled/tapped for scope mounting.

Bore is very poor condition, with significant pitting throughout, rifling deteriorated badly and very faint in spots. 

Bolt-mounted cocking indicator is not functional
